  • Annie Lee Garrigan

    Annie is a registered Psychotherapist working in the education sector and in private practice. As an advocate of anti-oppressive practice, her approach considers the wider social context of the experience of human suffering. This has informed her knowledge of intergenerational trauma and the impact of oppression on the mind and the body. By being part of East and Southeast Asia Scotland, she is able to collaborate at a wider community level and create awareness of the mental health challenges faced by marginalised groups and support policy for enduring change for new generations. She also holds positions as an external EDI Advisor and an EDI champion to Further and Higher education institutions.

  • Beth Knight-Yamamoto

    Beth is an advocacy and campaigns specialist with extensive experience across the UK, United States, and Asia in political, charity, and third sector organisations. Currently working in public affairs and engagement within the health sector, Beth has dedicated her career to empowering individuals and communities to advocate for meaningful change. Beth also brings significant governance experience, having served on the Boards of Citizens Advice Scotland and JRSST-CT, the charitable trust of the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust. She joined the ESAS Board in summer 2025.

  • Kimi Jolly | Executive Director

    Kimi Jolly has extensive experience in civil society leadership, with expertise in human rights, cultural competence, safeguarding, and organisational development. As Executive Director, she is skilled in strategic planning, people management, and building partnerships that drive meaningful change. Her work is grounded in equity, collaboration, and ethical practice, with a particular focus on developing sustainable and non-extractive approaches within the third sector.

    In 2020, Kimi founded East and Southeast Asian Scotland (ESAS) to strengthen representation and visibility for ESEA communities, and she continues to guide the organisation’s vision and strategic direction.

Jen Ang | Pro-Bono Strategic Advisor

Jen Ang is Founding Director of Lawmanity, a project that tackles inequalities in the law by working with people-led movements to secure positive change. She is an experienced human rights lawyer and activist, and a legal expert on immigration and asylum, violence against women and girls and the rights of survivors of torture and trafficking.  Jen is also a Professor in Practice at the Glasgow Open (GO Justice) Centre at the University of Glasgow School of Law, and believes in making legal education open and accessible to all.

Keng - Keng | Creative Advisor

Keng Keng is an experimental milliner, textile artist and community art activist based in Glasgow. She has been involved with various community based racial, environmental, and social justice movements around Scotland and in London. She has organised and facilitated a range of participatory textile workshops including banner and flag making, screen printing and block printing, textile mending and up-cycling, and natural dyeing and eco printing.  in her local community and with grassroots organisations.
