Who We’re Looking For
We welcome people from all genders and backgrounds, particularly those with lived experience in ESEA or migrant communities. You don’t need prior Board experience — willingness to learn is just as important.

Why Join Our Board?
As a Board Director, you’ll:
Help guide ESAS’s strategy and governance.
Contribute to long-term systemic change for ESEA communities.
Build experience in leadership, advocacy, and civil society engagement.
This is a voluntary role (reasonable expenses reimbursed).
Commitment
Approx. 29 hours per year (quarterly online meetings, prep, document reviews).
One annual in-person meeting in Scotland.
Every 5 years: a Governance Development Weekend (next in Nov/Dec 2025).
Location
Board Directors must be UK-based to ensure active participation, with at least one annual in-person meeting in Scotland.
